Our People

GENE STUNKEL | PRESIDENT & CEO

Gene founded the company in 2001 and quickly emerged into the event world, when he was selected to co-manage the ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic in direct partnership with ESPN and the ESPYs. He has worked directly with top athletes such as Hall of Fame baseball pitcher, Greg Maddux, World #1 Golf Instructor Butch Harmon and Hollywood star, George Clooney to develop premier events for charity.

He has also served on the Board of Directors for The Maddux Foundation and served as the Executive Director from 2012-2015.

Throughout his career, Gene has directly negotiated event contracts with major companies, including Caesars Palace, MGM, The Venetian-Palazzo, ESPN, San Diego Padres and Creative Artists. He continues to lead Eventia to new heights and has grown the company to be regarded as one of the most reputable event management companies in the United States.

WALLY JOYNER | SENIOR ADVISOR

During his Major League Baseball career, Wally played for five different teams in his career, including the California Angels, Kansas City Royals, San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves and Anaheim Angels. Some of Wally’s MLB highlights include becoming only the ninth player in MLB baseball history to record 100 RBIs in each of his first two seasons. In 1986, he was the first rookie to ever be voted as an All-Star Game starter by the fans and during that same All-Star weekend, he was also crowned the 1986 Home Run Derby winner.

Throughout his playing days and into his post-baseball years, Wally has expressed an incredible interest in business success. His experience in the Event Management field dates back 14 years. He is the co-founder of The Heroes Cup series and The Player’s Cup for current and former MLB players. Wally is proud and excited to be a part of the Eventia team.
