Greg Maddux has defined the art of pitching
in an era when his craft is measured more by the radar gun. A guaranteed first ballot Hall of Famer, Greg continues
to marvel his peers.
On August 7, 2004 in a game against the San Francisco Giants, Greg won his 300th career victory to become one of
only 22 Major League Baseball pitchers to ever win 300 games in a career, a rarity in modern day baseball.
In his 20 year career, he has racked up over 340 wins, with a 3.05 era, 4 consecutive Cy Young Awards, 16 Gold
Glove Awards (13 consecutive), 8 All-Star appearances, a World Series Championship and in 2003 surpassed all-time great
Cy Young as the only pitcher in Major League Baseball history to ever win at least 15 games for 16 consecutive seasons.
In 2004, he extended that record to 17 consecutive seasons.
